How are Keys Managed?
How are Master Keys Assigned?
Answer:
Every key assigned to an employee is documented and tracked through the service management request process.
One week prior to an employee separating from the organization, the supervisor is responsible for returning assigned keys to Facilities.
Suite master keys are intended for supervisors and office managers only. All keys must be approved by the requesting employee’s supervisor before the key will be issued.
Building master keys and exterior master keys are intended for limited individuals. All key requests for these keys must be approved by the unit or department head.

Improves safety and security of the organization and prevents unauthorized access to spaces.
Reduces the risk of lost or stolen keys.

require supervisor approval.
Facilities Operations takes pride in the safety and security of the organization's facilities; therefore, an annual audit will be performed to make sure all keys are accounted for. Replacement costs for re-keying lost or misplaced keys is the responsibility of the individual dept. of the areas affected.
